What this website stores, where it stores it, and what we have deliberately chosen not to collect.

Publication status

This is a working draft written for a catalog prototype. It describes what the current build actually does. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and must be replaced with an approved policy before the live store opens.

The short version

This build has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising pixels, no third-party tracking scripts and no server that receives your data. The only information the site keeps is a small record in your own browser of what you put in your bag and what you saved. It never leaves your device.

What is stored in your browser

Your bag and your saved items are written to localStorage under a single key. That record holds product identifiers, sizes, colours and quantities — nothing about you. Clearing your browser data removes it. Because there is no account, the list does not follow you to another browser or device.

What we do not collect

  • No cookies are set by this site. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
  • No analytics or heatmap tools. We do not know which pages you visited.
  • No advertising or social pixels. Nothing here builds an audience for retargeting.
  • No payment details, ever — there is no checkout in this build.
  • No newsletter list. The sign-up form on the homepage deliberately stores nothing and says so when you submit it.

When you contact us

The contact form in this prototype does not transmit anything; it shows you the message you composed and asks you to send it through a channel that works. If you phone, email or message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is held by us and by your network or messaging provider under their own terms. We keep those messages only as long as we need to answer them.

Links to other services

The footer links to social profiles and to a map of the studio. Following those links takes you to services with their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

Asking us about your data

Because we hold almost nothing, most requests resolve to “there is nothing to show you”. If you have written to us and want that correspondence deleted, ask and we will delete it. Reach us at hello@verdantloom.com or +91-8383898958.

What changes when the store goes live

A real store needs order records, addresses, payment processing through a provider, and delivery partners who receive your details. That is a materially different document, and it will be published here — with a named data controller and a review date — before any of it is switched on.
